History
Katsutadai Station opened on 1 May 1968 on the Keisei Main Line in the city of Yachiyo, Chiba Prefecture, operated by Keisei Electric Railway. It lies 40.3 kilometres from the Tokyo terminus at Keisei-Ueno and is built around two opposed side platforms connected to an under-track concourse. An underground passage was added in 1997 linking the station to the adjacent Tōyō-Katsutadai Station on the Tōyō Rapid Railway, creating an effective interchange between the two lines. When Keisei introduced system-wide station numbering on 17 July 2010, Katsutadai became part of the Keisei-Ueno-to-Narita lettering scheme.
