History

Yakuendai Station opened on 27 December 1947 on the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway in the city of Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture. The single-island-platform station was relocated to its present position, with a new elevated station building, on 29 July 2000. It lies 22.5 kilometres from the terminus of the line at Matsudo. Following the buyout of the Shin-Keisei Railway by Keisei Electric Railway, the line was renamed the Keisei Matsudo Line and ownership of Yakuendai transferred to Keisei. The move was completed on 1 April 2025.
