History
Shinozaki Station opened on 14 September 1986 as the eastern terminus of the Toei Shinjuku Line when service was extended from Funabori. It became an intermediate stop on 19 March 1989 with the further extension to Motoyawata. The east-side platform configuration originally included a crossover and a stub track because of administrative delays on the Motoyawata extension; the crossover was later removed when the line was completed and the stub track repurposed for maintenance equipment. PASMO IC service began on 18 March 2007, the west exit on the Twin Place side opened on 20 May 2008, and platform screen doors entered service on 19 May 2018. Shinozaki is the easternmost station in the special wards of Tokyo.

Notes
During the Edogawa fireworks festival on the first Saturday of August, normally express-only trains make a special stop here; the north and west exits are closed during the show for safety and ticket sales move to ground level near the station entrances.
