History
Nishi-Shinjuku Station is a Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line stop in Shinjuku, Tokyo, numbered M-07. The station opened on 28 May 1996 between Shinjuku and Nakano-sakaue, infilling a previously through-running stretch of the line. After the Teito Rapid Transit Authority was privatised in 2004, the station's facilities passed to Tokyo Metro. The underground station has two side platforms serving two tracks. It sits beneath Ōme Kaidō at the eastern edge of the Nishi-Shinjuku skyscraper district, providing convenient access to Tokyo Medical University Hospital and Kogakuin University, and is a short walk from the Toei Ōedo Line's Tochōmae Station, where the Marunouchi Line connects with the loop south of Shinjuku.

Notes
Nishi-Shinjuku is one of only a handful of Marunouchi Line stops to have been infilled on an already-operating section of the line, rather than opening with a new extension.
