Akebonobashi Station is a Toei Shinjuku Line subway stop in Shinjuku, Tokyo, operated by Toei Subway under station number S-03. The underground station opened on 16 March 1980 as part of the Shinjuku Line's first eastward extension. It consists of two side platforms, with Platform 1 serving westbound trains for Shinjuku, Sasazuka and Hashimoto, and Platform 2 serving eastbound trains for Bakuro-yokoyama and Motoyawata. The station sits directly beneath Akebonobashi, the bridge at the Gaien-Higashi-dōri/Yasukuni-dōri intersection, and provides walking access to the Ministry of Defense, Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital and Chuo University's Ichigaya campus.
