History
Toranomon Hills Station, on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line in Minato ward, Tokyo, opened on 6 June 2020, making it the newest station on the Tokyo subway network at the time. Its name was announced on 5 December 2018 ahead of opening, and it was timed to provisional readiness for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The station took the line code H-06, previously assigned to Kasumigaseki Station; this triggered renumbering of subsequent Hibiya Line stations through to Kita-Senju. It is the only Hibiya Line station planned and built under Tokyo Metro ownership, after the 2004 privatisation of the Teito Rapid Transit Authority. A roughly seven-minute connecting passageway links it to Toranomon Station on the Ginza Line.

Notes
Toranomon Hills is the only station on the entire Hibiya Line that Tokyo Metro both planned and built itself, every earlier station having been inherited from the Teito Rapid Transit Authority.
