History

Shin-toyosu Station opened on 27 March 2006 as a stop on the Yurikamome elevated automated guideway, on the same eastward extension that took the line as far as Toyosu. The station's name — "new Toyosu" — was finalised on 28 April 2005, after the working title Toyosu (2); the choice reflected the redevelopment of the surrounding land-readjustment districts as a new neighbourhood east of Toyosu proper. The station is numbered U-15 and consists of a single elevated island platform.

Notes

The station's working name during planning and construction was simply "Toyosu (2)"; the final "Shin-Toyosu" was selected in April 2005 to signal the area's character as newly created urban land.
