History
Ariake-Tennis-no-mori Station opened on 27 March 2006 on the Yurikamome line in Kōtō, Tokyo, carrying the line number U-13. It takes its name from the adjacent Ariake Tennis Park, the venue for the Japan Open professional tournament. The station was built in part to support the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the nearby Ariake Arena hosting the Games' volleyball events and continuing to host concerts and large-scale events afterwards. The Ariake Garden shopping mall, with around 200 stores, is also adjacent to the station.
