History

Keisei Inage Station opened on 17 July 1921 simply as Inage Station, on what is now the Keisei Electric Railway's Chiba Line in present-day Inage Ward, Chiba City. It was renamed Keisei Inage on 18 November 1931 to distinguish it from the government railway station of the same name nearby. Station numbering across the Keisei network on 17 July 2010 assigned it KS55. The station retains its original ground-level configuration of two side platforms linked by a level crossing, with the up-line entrance promoted from a temporary opening to a permanent gate over time.

Notes

About 300 metres west of the station stands the former Kamiya Denbei villa, a registered Tangible Cultural Property built by the founder of Tokyo's Kamiya Bar when this coastline was still a fashionable seaside resort.
