History
Tennōzu Isle Station is shared between two operators on the Tennōzu redevelopment district in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The elevated Tokyo Monorail platforms opened on 19 June 1992 with the redevelopment of former warehouse land into the Sea Fort Square complex. The underground Rinkai Line platforms opened on 31 March 2001 when Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit extended west from Tokyo Teleport; through-running to Ōsaki followed in December 2002. The two stations are connected by walkway about 100 metres long and share interchange status. Platform-edge doors began service on the Rinkai Line side on 20 June 2021.

Notes
The Tennōzu redevelopment association's official English spelling is "Tennoz Isle", and signage around the station mixes that form with the operators' "Tennōzu Isle" rendering.
