History
Shiyakusho-mae Station is an elevated monorail stop on Chiba Urban Monorail Line 1, situated in Chūō-ku just 0.7 km from the line's southern terminus at Chiba Station. It opened on 1 August 1995 and was assigned station code CM02. The station carries two opposed side platforms over two tracks and is unstaffed. Line 2 trains also call here, and a footbridge ties the concourse directly into the Chiba City Hall complex that gives the station its name. Acceptance of the PASMO contactless fare card began on 14 March 2009, joining the regional interoperable network.

Notes
The station sits inside an unusually dense rail cluster — Chiba, Keisei Chiba, Chiba-Chūō, Shin-Chiba and Chiba-Minato are all within roughly one kilometre, sometimes making the walk faster than transferring.
