History

Nabera Station opened on 25 March 1989 with the Tarumi Railway's extension of the Tarumi Line from Kamiumi Station to Tarumi Station, located 26.4 rail kilometres from the line's terminus at Ōgaki. The station was built in a hillside section of Motosu, Gifu Prefecture, and remains an unattended halt operated by the private Tarumi Railway. It consists of a single ground-level side platform serving a bi-directional track, with no station building; only a small covered shelter sits on the platform. Although a stationmaster was occasionally posted at opening, day-to-day operations have always been minimal given the line's rural setting.

Notes

The station sits in a wooded gorge so densely shaded by surrounding trees that the platform can grow dim even in daytime.
