History
Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Station is the southern terminus of the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line, beneath Terminal 2 of Tokyo International Airport in Haneda Airport 3-chome, Ota, Tokyo, and is numbered MO 11. JNR granted the extension licence for this leg on 24 July 1985 and the second-phase work was authorised on 17 March 1988. Construction began in March 2002 and the station opened on 1 December 2004 to coincide with the opening of Terminal 2, then named Haneda-Kuko-Daini-Biru Station. A south ticket gate was added on 13 October 2010 when Terminal 2 was extended, and on 14 March 2020 the station took its present Japanese name, though its English name was unchanged.
