History

Anamori-inari Station serves the Keikyu Airport Line in Haneda 4-chome, Ota, Tokyo, under station number KK14. The site dates from 28 June 1902, when Anamori Station opened near the Ebitori River. After the original Anamori Station was moved 800 m east in December 1913, a new Haneda Station opened at the old site in January 1914, was renamed Inaribashi Station in January 1915 after the bridge to Anamori-inari Shrine, and moved 200 m west in October 1940. Postwar Allied requisition of the present airport area in September 1945 closed the line beyond this stop until 1956, and when Haneda Airport Station opened on 20 April 1956 the station took its present name after the relocated shrine.

Notes

The station building is styled after Anamori-inari Shrine, and a vermilion torii gate donated by Taisei Corporation, the builder of the shrine's present hall, stands in front of it.
