History
Hiyoshi-Honchō Station opened on 30 March 2008, the day the Yokohama Municipal Subway Green Line (Line 4) commenced operations between Nakayama and Hiyoshi. The underground station sits in Kōhoku Ward in Yokohama, 11.6 kilometres from the western terminus at Nakayama, and serves a long-established residential district southwest of Hiyoshi. Its single island platform is housed below ground, with a community-exchange hall called Ikiiki Kaikan integrated into the station building on the upper level. Public Wi-Fi access was added on 1 May 2012. The station carries number G09 and is themed around the surrounding greenery, with kimidori (young-leaf green) chosen as its station colour.

Notes
The Ikiiki Kaikan community hall above the station was funded by roughly 125 million yen raised by the Hiyoshi-Honchō Nishi neighbourhood association over about 20 years.
