History
Onda Station opened on 29 March 2000 on the Kodomonokuni Line, in Aoba-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is operated by Yokohama Minatomirai Railway. The station sits 1.8 km from the line's terminus at Nagatsuta on the short branch line which gives the line its name. The platform layout consists of a single elevated island platform serving two tracks, and the station building is normally unattended. As one of the most recent stations on the line, Onda was added decades after the line's original opening, but its facilities follow the same lightly-staffed pattern as the rest of the short Kodomonokuni route.
