History
Nippa Station opened on 18 March 1993 with the extension of the Yokohama Municipal Subway Line 3 between Shin-Yokohama and Azamino. Platform screen doors were trialled on Track 3 in December 2006 ahead of one-person operation, and full platform-door service began on 21 April 2007. Public Wi-Fi was added in April 2012. From the 18 July 2015 timetable revision, Nippa became one of the stops for the newly introduced Rapid service on the Blue Line.
