History
Kita Station opened on 16 July 1988 as a station on the Miyafuku Line, then operated by Miyafuku Railway (later Kitakinki Tango Railway). Located in the city of Miyazu, Kyoto Prefecture, the station lies 27.3 km from the line's terminus at Nishi-Maizuru, and consists of a single side platform on an embankment serving one bi-directional track. It is unstaffed and has no station building. On 1 April 2015 operation transferred to Willer Trains, and the line is now branded as the Kyoto Tango Railway Miyafuku Line.
