History
Ochii Station opened on 1 June 1930 as a passenger stop on the Fuji-Minobu Railway in what is today the town of Ichikawamisato, Nishiyatsushiro District, Yamanashi Prefecture. It was upgraded to a full station on 1 October 1938, and the line was nationalised under the Japanese Government Railways on 1 May 1941, later becoming part of the Japanese National Railways. With the 1 April 1987 privatisation, the station came under JR Central, which still operates it on the Minobu Line. The station has a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track with a wooden shelter, and has remained unattended since opening.

Notes
The 840.4-metre Wariishi Tunnel between Ochii and the next station Kajikazawaguchi crosses beneath Wariishi Pass, dwarfing the unstaffed wayside stop in scale.
