History

Yoshiike-Onsenmae Station opened on 21 January 1930 as Odare-Kōsenmae Station (尾垂鉱泉前駅) on the Mt. Fuji Sanroku Electric Railway, in what is now the city of Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. It was renamed to its present name by 1939, taking the name of the nearby Yoshiike hot spring. The station has carried the Fuji-Kyū station number FJ13 since the introduction of station numbering, and is served by the privately operated 26.6 km Fujikyuko Line from Ōtsuki to Kawaguchiko, sitting 20.2 km from the Ōtsuki terminus. It remains unstaffed with a single side platform, waiting room and no toilet facilities at an altitude of 739 metres.
