History

Inonada Station opened on 5 April 1928 on what is now the Ichibata Electric Railway’s Kita-Matsue Line, in the city of Izumo, Shimane Prefecture. The unstaffed station lies 19.4 km from the line’s terminus at Dentetsu-Izumoshi and is served only by local trains. It consists of a single side platform serving one bidirectional track, with a simple shelter on the platform and no station building. The surroundings are dominated by Lake Shinji and Japan National Route 431, and in 2019 the stop saw an average of 56 passengers a day.
