History
Higashi-Kōge Station opened on 1 November 1956 as an unstaffed diesel-railcar stop on the JNR Inbi Line, between Tsunoi and Kōge in present-day Yazu, Tottori Prefecture. It passed to JR West at the JNR breakup on 1 April 1987. ICOCA introduction is planned for spring 2027. The station has a single side platform on the left-hand side facing Chizu, with no station building; passengers wait in a small shelter on the platform. A formerly installed ticket vending machine has been removed.

Notes
Higashi-Kōge once had its own ticket machine inside the platform shelter, but it has since been removed and is not slated for replacement before the planned 2027 ICOCA rollout.
