History
Tabushi Station opened on April 29, 1914, alongside the inauguration of the Kita-Matsue Line. It is located in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, and is operated by the private interurban operator Ichibata Electric Railway. Only local trains serve the station, which became unstaffed in November 1979. In April 2006, when Ichibata Electric Railway restructured into a holding company, the railway operation was transferred to a newly established subsidiary, Ichibata Densha Co., Ltd., which continues to run the station today. The single side-platform stop sits 9.0 kilometers from the line's terminus at Dentetsu-Izumoshi.
