History
Mieji Station opened on March 20, 1956 on the Tarumi Line, in what is now the city of Mizuho in Gifu Prefecture. The station is operated by the private Tarumi Railway and sits 7.5 kilometers from the line's terminus at Ōgaki. It is an unstaffed stop with a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track. The surrounding area preserves the site of the former Mieji-juku, a post town on the historic Nakasendō highway from which the station takes its name.
