History
Yumegaoka Station opened on 10 March 1999 as part of the Sotetsu Izumino Line's extension to Shonandai, becoming a rapid-service stop on the same day. The station was named in the Kanto Station Hyakusen in 2000. Commuter-express service began calling here on 30 November 2019. Platform-edge doors entered service on 2 July 2023. On 25 July 2024 an IC-card-only 'Soratos Gate' was opened on the side facing the new Yumegaoka Soratos shopping centre, the original gate was renamed the 'North Gate', and the sub-name 'Yumegaoka Soratos-mae' was adopted. Following 2024 land-readjustment work the address officially changed to Yumegaoka.

The bridge over Loop Road 4 leading into Yumegaoka, 260 m from the platform, is the first Nielsen-Lohse arch bridge used on a Japanese conventional railway.
