History

Yōkan Station is a small Ichibata Electric Railway Taisha Line stop in Tsunematsu-chō, Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, opening on 2 February 1930. With the holding-company restructuring of Ichibata Denki Tetsudō on 1 April 2006, the railway business was transferred to the new Ichibata Densha Co., Ltd. A single side platform on the right when facing Taisha, with the access door at the western end. An unstaffed local stop; ridership figures are reported per local Shimane statistics. The 'Express' service runs through here without stopping.

Notes

Yōkan Station sits between Takahama and Hamayama-Kōen-Kita-guchi on the short Taisha branch line that leads to Izumo Taisha Shrine — Japan's oldest shrine to Ōkuninushi — yet the express service skips this stop entirely.
