History
Kazusa-Kawama Station opened on 1 April 1953 on the Kominato Railway's Kominato Line, in the city of Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture. It lies 18.5 kilometres from the western terminus at Goi Station. The unattended station has a single side platform serving bidirectional traffic, with only a small rain shelter on the platform and no station building. The surrounding area is rural, with rice paddies, scattered houses along nearby national and prefectural routes, and a more densely populated residential cluster in the Ishikawa district to the northeast. Several factories sit along the nearby Yōrō River.
