History
Fuwa-Ishiki Station opened on 25 June 1921 on the Meitetsu Takehana Line in what is today the city of Hashima, Gifu Prefecture. Located 7.0 km from the line terminus at Kasamatsu, it served the residential village of Masaki and was reduced to an unstaffed halt by 1 November 1948. A station-management system was installed on 14 December 2007 with Transpass ticketing, and the Manaca IC card became usable on 11 February 2011. The single side platform now serves a lone bi-directional track, with the station controlled remotely from Meitetsu Gifu.
