History

Araga-Kashinokidai Station opened on 16 July 1988 with the inauguration of the Miyafuku Railway Miyafuku Line, just 2.9 km from the line's terminus at Fukuchiyama. Operations of the line passed to WILLER TRAINS, branded as the Kyoto Tango Railway, on 1 April 2015 and the station carries number F3. It consists of two opposed side platforms on an embankment connected by an underground passage, with no station building and only platform shelters. The station is unattended, and ridership remains very low — fiscal 2018 averaged 27 boarding passengers per day despite a new residential development nearby.
