History

Fujifilm-Mae Station opened on 13 August 1956 on the Izuhakone Railway Daiyūzan Line in Minamiashigara, Kanagawa. The station name refers to Fujifilm's adjacent Kanagawa Factory Ashigara Site, which the station was built to serve. The single side platform is connected to a small one-story station building, and an automated ticket machine was installed in March 1992. Today the station is unstaffed outside the morning and evening commuter peaks, when on-platform inspections are carried out. Daily ridership averaged 663 boarding passengers in fiscal 2019.
