History
Wadazuka Station opened on 16 August 1907 on what is now the Enoshima Electric Railway, in Yuigahama 3-chōme, Kamakura, Kanagawa, with station number EN14. The name comes from the Wada-zuka, a mound just south of the station traditionally regarded as the place where the Kamakura-period warrior Wada Yoshimori died in battle. The unstaffed stop has a single side platform serving a single track. The main station building, with one ticket-vending machine, is at the Kamakura-end exit, and a ramp connects the platform to the road. A smaller stepped entry sits at the Fujisawa end. Both entries are equipped with IC-card simple-gate readers and contactless-payment and QR-code readers.
