History

Yuigahama Station opened on 16 August 1907 on what is now the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) Main Line, serving the seaside Yuigahama neighbourhood of Kamakura. The stop sits roughly 8.9 kilometres from the line's terminus at Fujisawa and consists of a single side platform handling bi-directional traffic. The station has been unstaffed throughout its modern operation, with a small restroom on the platform. Station numbering was rolled out across the Enoden network in January 2014, and Yuigahama was assigned the code EN13. It remains a quiet residential stop ranked 11th of the 15 Enoden stations by ridership.
