History
Enoshima Station opened on 1 September 1902 as Katase Station on what is now the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden) Main Line. It was renamed Enoshima Station in 1929, and the current station building was completed in 1991, with a further renovation finishing in April 2019. Sitting 3.3 kilometres from the Fujisawa terminus, the stop is the line's operational hub: the Enoden head office, crew depot and storage sidings adjoin it. In February 2024 the long-standing in-station level crossing was closed as part of the line's CTC automation programme, and 2026 saw the addition of a third faregate to the Fujisawa-bound platform.

Notes
Between Enoshima and Koshigoe the Enoden tracks leave their right-of-way and run as street trackage in the middle of a public road.
