History
Tsukahara Station was officially opened on 15 October 1925 on the Izuhakone Railway's Daiyūzan Line, in what is now the city of Minamiashigara, Kanagawa Prefecture. The station consists of a single side platform with a small attached station building and is unstaffed. It is located 6.3 kilometres from the line's terminus at Odawara Station. Prefectural Road 74 runs along the west side of the station while the Karikawa River flows on the east side; the opposite riverbank carries Minamiashigara Okamoto Junior and Elementary Schools and the Okamoto branch of Minamiashigara City Hall, reached from the station via a prefectural road bridge.
