History
Midorichō Station, on the Izuhakone Railway Daiyūzan Line in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, opened on 14 June 1935 when the line was extended from Sagami-Hirokoji to Shin-Odawara. Just two days later the line was extended again to Odawara Station, the present Daiyūzan Line terminus, and both adjacent stops on that initial segment fell out of service. The single side platform sits a mere 0.4 kilometres from the line terminus at Odawara — close enough that the platforms of Odawara Station are visible from the end of Midorichō's. It is unstaffed and has no station building. Station number: ID02. In fiscal 2019 it averaged 228 boarding passengers per day.
