History
Kowakidani Station opened on 1 June 1919 on the Hakone Tozan Line, 13.4 km from the line's terminus at Odawara. The station has two opposed side platforms linked at the Chokoku-no-Mori end by a level crossing. On 1 February 2024 the station was made fully unstaffed, and from 1 April 2024 operations passed to Odakyu Hakone as part of an Odakyu Group reorganisation of Hakone services.
