History
Amago Station opened on 1 June 1911 on the Ohmi Railway Main Line in what is now Kora town, Shiga Prefecture. The station was relocated approximately 100 metres towards Kibukawa in November 2002, and a new station building doubling as a local community centre was completed on 3 November 2003. The station consists of a single island platform connected to the station building by a level crossing, and is unattended.

Notes
The replacement 2003 station building is shared with a Kora community centre rather than functioning purely as a railway facility, reflecting a common Ohmi Railway pattern of consolidating rural stops with municipal services.
