History

Aotsuka Station opened on 23 January 1914 on the Meitetsu Tsushima Line in present-day Tsushima, Aichi Prefecture. Its present station building was reconstructed in 2005. The two opposed side platforms are of unequal length: the platform serving trains in the Nagoya direction can accommodate trains of up to eight cars, while the opposing platform handles only six. The station is staffed and equipped with automated ticket machines and Manaca turnstiles. In fiscal 2017 it averaged about 1,861 passengers daily.
