History
Tsukuihama Station opened on 27 March 1966 as the southern terminus of the Keikyū Kurihama Line, a position it held for only a few months — on 7 July 1966 the line was extended further south to Miurakaigan and Tsukuihama became an intermediate station. An elevator was installed in 2007 to improve accessibility. Keikyu introduced station numbering on 21 October 2010, when Tsukuihama was assigned the number KK70.

Notes
Since fiscal 2011 Tsukuihama has consistently posted the lowest ridership among all Kaitoku-stop stations on the Keikyū network, even though every Kaitoku-class train calls here.
