History
Kamisuge Station opened on 1 April 1925 on the Ministry of Railways Hakubi North Line — now part of the JR West Hakubi Line — between Shōyama and Kurosaka, in present-day Hino, Tottori Prefecture. It became a station of the unified Hakubi Line on 25 October 1928. Freight handling was discontinued on 1 February 1963 and parcel handling on 1 February 1971. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 the station passed to JR West. The station consists of one ground-level island platform connected to the station building by a footbridge and is unstaffed under Yonago Station's management, with no ticket vending machines and no ICOCA acceptance. Daily ridership averaged 12 passengers in fiscal 2018.
