History
Fujinami Station opened on 23 January 1914 on what is now the Meitetsu Tsushima Line, in present-day Aisai, Aichi Prefecture. It sits 10.2 kilometres from the line's starting point at Sukaguchi. The tracks at the station were elevated in July 2002, at which time the present station building was completed beneath them; the building is normally unstaffed and is equipped with Manaca turnstiles and automated ticket machines. Two elevated opposed side platforms now serve the line. In fiscal 2017 ridership averaged 2,947 boarding passengers daily, placing it among the busier Tsushima-Line stops between Tsushima and Sukaguchi.
