History
Saya Station opened on 3 April 1898 as the middle of three stations on a stretch of line built by the privately held Bisai Railroad in what is today Aisai City, Aichi Prefecture. Meitetsu acquired the line on 1 August 1925, after which it became part of the Meitetsu Bisai Line. The station has an island platform and a side platform — connected by a footbridge — with platform 1 long enough for eight-car trains and platforms 2 and 3 for up to six. Now unattended, the station retains automated ticket machines and Manaca turnstiles and recorded about 4,280 daily boardings in fiscal 2017.
