History

Komenoki Station opened on 29 July 1979 with the Meitetsu Toyota Line, in Nisshin, Aichi. The elevated station has two opposed side platforms with the concourse below, and was staffed from the outset. With the introduction of the Transpass smart-fare system on 1 October 2003 it switched to a remote-management system from Toyotashi Station and became unstaffed. Wheelchair-accessible lifts and toilet facilities arrived in early 2011, and manaca IC service began on 11 February 2011.

Notes

After the 2005 Expo, the parking lots that hosted shuttle buses to the fairgrounds were redeveloped as housing, and Komenoki's catchment population grew rapidly through the late 2000s and 2010s.
