History
Mizuho Undōjō Higashi Station is an underground stop on the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Meijō Line, located in Mizuho-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, 19.4 kilometres from the line's terminus at Kanayama. It opened on 6 October 2004 as part of the Meijō Line's extension that completed the Nagoya subway loop, replacing the Sakura-dōri Line's Mizuho Undōjō station as the main stadium-side access on the eastern flank of Mizuho Park. A single underground island platform serves the line, and the station was assigned the identifier M22 at opening.

Notes
When Higashi opened in 2004, the older Mizuho Undōjō station on the Sakura-dōri Line was renamed Mizuho Undōjō Nishi on the same day so that the east and west park entrances could be distinguished by passengers.
