History
Horita Station opened on March 30, 1974, as a station on Nagoya Municipal Subway Line 4. On October 6, 2004, Line 4 was renamed the Meijō Line, and the station took station number M25. Barrier-free works in 2005 added elevator access, and platform screen doors entered service on February 22, 2021. The station has a single island platform on two tracks, lying about 14 metres below ground.
