History
Sakura-hommachi Station opened on March 30, 1994 on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Sakura-dōri Line and carries station number S15. Platform screen doors were placed in service on July 9, 2011. Internal reorganisation merged the local district office into the Imaike district on April 1, 2023. The station has a single underground island platform serving two tracks, with the platform screen doors picked out in the station's purple theme colour. Because a connection with the planned Nanbu Line was anticipated, the platform sits roughly 18 metres below ground.
