History

Nagoyakō Station opened on 29 March 1971 as part of the Nagoya Municipal Subway's Line 2 (later the Meikō Line) in Minato-ku, Nagoya, where it serves as the line's southern terminus. Assigned station code E07, it lies 6.0 kilometres from the opposite terminus at Kanayama and provides direct access to the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium and the port itself. The station has a single underground island platform and three exits — two on the south side facing the port and one on the north — with platform-level escalators, an elevator and accessible facilities concentrated around the bus rotary at Exit 2.
