History
Daigaku-mae Station (OR27) is on the Ohmi Railway Main Line (Minakuchi–Gamōno Line) in Fuse-chō, Higashiōmi, Shiga, 28.4 km from the line's terminus at Maibara. It opened on 29 March 1990 between Hasenō and Sakuragawa stations as a petition station requested by Yōkaichi City to serve the newly-opened Shiga Bunka Junior College (today Biwako Gakuin University), and the entire construction cost of 17.95 million yen was borne by the city. It is an unstaffed single-side platform station with no proper station building — only a modest old-style roof and benches.

Notes
When MIO Biwako Shiga (now Reilac Shiga FC) played official matches at Nunobiki Stadium, Ohmi Railway handed out free special-invitation tickets at Daigaku-mae as a way to drive rail patronage on game days.
