History
Kurodashō Station lies on the Kakogawa Line, 38.5 km from Kakogawa, in the city of Nishiwaki, Hyōgo Prefecture. It opened on 27 December 1924 as a stop on the Bantan Railway, was nationalized on 1 June 1943, and became part of the Kakogawa Line under JNR. JR West assumed operations on 1 April 1987. The station was reduced to a single side platform when one of its two opposing platforms was removed during the 2004 electrification work, and the current station building was completed in 2005, replacing the original 1923 structure that had stood since before the line opened.
