History

Torokko Arashiyama Station is the second stop on the Sagano Scenic Line in Ukyō-ku, Kyoto. It opened on 27 April 1991 along with the rest of the Sagano Scenic Railway. The single ground-level platform serves trains bound for both Torokko Saga and Torokko Kameoka. Because the platform sits between the junction with the JR West San'in Main Line and the Kameyama tunnel, it is very short — the first two cars of arriving trains remain inside the tunnel with their doors disabled.

Notes

Owing to roughly 60 steps between the entrance and platform, the station is not wheelchair-accessible.
